PR is about building relationships to build credibility and influencing consumers. Lasting media relationships are what make the world go round in the PR sector. And even the way that we work is different the straight on marketing.
Marketing deals directly with money in most senses. Which makes it blur the lines with advertising, to clients at least.
It really is two sides of the same coin here. And how you measure both also makes a big difference. You need different tools to deal with each department.
